Can I overclock just one videocard in crossfire and get a benefit from it?  I have two XFX 7850's but one is the Double Disipation unit with two fans and the other is a core version.  I was thinking of just overclocking the DD unit which is in the prmiary 3.0 pci slot.

You will get severe scaling and unstable framerate issues, stuttering etc. if they are set on different clocks, overclock both or none.
