HI,

I have display card ATI radeon HD 5670 .there is DVI port , not HDMI port .

I want to use a extenral DVI to HDMI convertor to convert DVI to HDMI and connect to a HDMI monitor . so, in this case , can the DVI port still pass audio to HDMI monitor ???? I search and find HDMI can support audio . that mean HDMI monitor can have sound /audio itself ...

Please advice whether this case can work or not ...

No if you do a DVI to HDMI converter you will not get audio. While HDMI can transfer audio DVI cannot so you will not gain sound functionality.
