I have both a 6850 and a 7950.  This has happened to both of my cards.  I notice this when I started getting 35-45 frames on farcry 3 on optimal settings despite previously getting 60-70.  Same thing happens in battlefield, which I can max.  This happens with my 6850 too!  Any ideas how to fix this?  I overclock both.
