I have an Asus M4A89GTD Pro/USB3 mobo with Windows 7 x64 and Hauppage 2650 USB vcable card tuner.

It looks like the HDCP support is not consistent. I have to reboot the PC with the HDMI connection to the TV while TV is on for HDCP to work. If I turn the TV off and on again the HDCP driver fails.

Is this a bug in the driver?

Is there a good solution?

Can we get a bit more information about the setup.   Brand & Model of each display connected (and how connected) to the Integrated HD4290 graphics on the motherboard.

My initial guess, it just sounds like the HDCP hand-shake is lost when you turn the TV off.  Does it also happen if you change the input source on the TV?  Can you just disconnect, and reconnect the cable connection to get the hand-shake to work?
