Some flickering occurred sometimes while I am playing AoEo. Therefore I checked my hardware and within the catalyst control center the graphic bus is shown as:

PCI Express 2.0, PCI Express 2.0 x16.

My graphics card is a Saphire Radeon HD 7770 series witch should support PCI Express 3.0.

Could anyone give me some information what is running wrong? I’ve updated all drivers and checked all settings within the Bios, windows and graphics card.

Thanks in advance

Saphire AMD Radeon HD 7700 Ghz edition, vapor-x

According to the Asrock website, you need a CPU that supports PCIe 3.0 as well (22 nm 3rd generation i5 or i7). Do you have such a CPU?

This seems to be the reason. It is a

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz with a SNB (Sandy Bridge) Core v2 2C/4C 32nm .

Thanks for the information.
