Hello. Now I have HD3850 and I'm about to buy new GPU. Since I stopped playing games I don't want expensive GPU. Only thing I need GPU for is HD movies.

My question is, is there a difference in image quality between ~50$ AMD cards and those of 200$?

I will buy passive GPU that has DVI+HDMI.

And is there a difference in playing HD movies? I mean, can those cheaper cards play all the highest quality HD movies without freezings?

I am looking to buy HD6570 probably.

Nope, assuming you use playback software which can use hardware acceleration.
