Hello guys. I have am a former ex-nvidia fan and now dispise them from the bottom of my heart. I really hate their closed approach to 3D gaming. It is killing the 3D industry. On the other hand I LOVE AMD's approach, and will be getting my first AMD GPU, in the form of a 7970 OC Gigabyte 1100mhz!!

My question is, in order for the HD3D to work on my LG 3DHDTV, does it have to have 1.4aHDMI? Because it only has 1.4. There is no "a". I have also searched for other 3DTVs and I do not think any TV has the 1.4a socket. They ALL have 1.4 HDMI.

So is this the same and will HD3D work in this socket?

Thanks, AMD. I really love your open ended approach. I do not understand why Nvidia is being so greedy...

I believe "1.4" can only run 3D at 1080p24 which is good enough for any 3D movie and "1.4a" gives 1080i60. So 3D gaming is only limited to 24 frames per second.
