Hoping someone can help me. I'm thinking of getting a new PSU. My current one, a Corsair CX500 is my second one of those after the first died in under a year. I think it could have been that my machine was a little too much for it, once the Radeon 6870 was included. The new one is making a slightly odd noise, and whilst I may be overracting, i'm probably quite paranoid about it now, because the last one dying killed my HDD I don't want that to happen again.
I've checked the list of recommended PSU's on here (http://support.amd.com/us/certified/power-supplies/Pages/listing.aspx) and I'm thinking of getting a GS600 as it can be had for a decent price. However whilst it's listed on that page when you load it up it doesn't list any supported cards.
Now I think that may be a mistake given that the GS500 lists a load of cards, including my 6870, but the 600, 700 and 800 don't.
Could someone advise me if this is a mistake or a correct (if slightly odd) listing.
thanks.
