I have an AMD Radeon HD 6770. I currently have two monitors running in extended desktop view, hooked up to it using the DVI ports. From what I understand the AMD Radeon HD 6770 only supports two "legacy" ports at a time. Meaning I can have two DVI monitors, or one DVI and one HDMI. I cannot have two DVI and the HDMI running simutaneously, correct?

From my research it looks like I can hook up a total of six monitors to the 6770 by using the "legacy" ports and the display port. So this tells me I can use the display port to add an additional four monitors to my set up if I should desire, correct? My question is how do I do this? I don't have any experience with display ports and there's only one in the card. So I'm assuming I need to purchase a splitter of some sort? Do you have any suggestions on a product that works well? Am I incorrect in any of my facts of thoughts?

I'm not really interested in running eyefinity, I just like the convience of having more desktop space.

A DisplayPort 1.2 hub, which I haven't seen, can be used to daisy chain multiple DP displays onto a single port.
