I'm planning to buy amd radeon 7870 video card, and use it for a dual monitor setup. My question is about the feature of 7th series videocard called Zerocore power, which cuts power consumption to several watts and stops video card fans after screen is blanked by Windows after a period of inactivity. It works with dvi conncetion only.
So my question if it works for multi monitor setup (extended desktop mode) where the primary monitor is connected via DVI, and the second one via hdmi. When the screen gets blank will the video card activate the zerocore mode? Did anyone tried it?
