So, I built a budget light gaming PC about a month ago using the A6 5400k, now I have some extra cash to dump into it. I was thinking of using the crossfire option and buying an HD 6570. But my question is, if I were to get a much more powerful card, like a 7750 or higher, and just didn't use the on board graphics, would I run into any issues, or does the graphics card need a certain type of CPU?

You would be better off going with a card such as the 7750 instead of fooling around with a Dual Graphics setup.
