  HI.
1. What exact driver version do you use?
2. Can you make a screenshot and post it somewhere to see how it looks like?
3. Do you have EDID enabled?

EDID?

Think it might be sorted. Noticed the pixel format was on basic. Changed to Full RGB. Been fine for an hour or 2 now. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the input by the by.

Skyrim "Skin" flickering http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvEms82lYvc I was able to reproduce it with any Skyrim version, and any HD 7xxx card I tried. (HD 7870, HD 7970 = one by sapphire, second by gigabyte), with any Catalyst (Since 12.4 to 13.6 Beta2).  Thanks.

Doesn't happen at all on my cards.

I re-tested that bug few times.

It was not visible on:
HD 3870x2, GTX480, HD5850. These cards are PCI-E gen 2.0

but it was visible on:
HD7870, HD 7970 and GTX 650ti. These are gen 3.0

My mainboard has PCI-E 2.0, yours according to CPU has PCI-E gen 3.0.

So I believe that the bug is related to HW compatibility.  According to reports from other guys its visible only if you have PCI-E 2.0 board and PCI-E 3.0 card.

According to my experience, if you upgrade to HD7970 or HD7950, the system may get unstable. Its not because graphic card itself or because driver.

These cards may trigger latent instabilities which were in system previously but were not visible. In my case it was memory overvoltage.

have you tried some sort of stress test on cpu, memory or vga?

So the final report after set of tests:

1. DX9.0c flickering
DirectX 9.0c games may still flicker under very specific circumstances. Some games may still show "flickerspots" where chance of encountering this bug will be much higher.

When taking into account Mantle and new technology, in case of DX9.0c we are talking about proper legacy support. So far DX9.0a and b games had no issues, DX8 games were OK as well. DX7 engines and older not tested.

2. Not enough resources for older games
There are two types of this bug.

a) Due some reason which is related to OS the games are stuttering, while GPU remains on 300/150Mhz.
This bug was caused by OS, root cause was not found.

b) Driver downclocks GPU and VRAM in scenes which are not very intensive.
This has been observed in Skyrim, Lakeview manor. This is also related to specific ingame situations and settings. Result is stuttering, but behavior may vary. If GPU is overclocked, such behavior leads to crash (game, driver, PC depending on level of OC), even in case that system is stable under higher load.

3. CCC window get black when operating with Video settings
Present since 12.11 betas.

4. CCC may offer unsupported resolutions
In my case it was confirmed at 1600x1200, was not present with "GPU scaling".

I havent found no new bug in last few days, so this list is final. 1 and 2 might be related.
