I have been trying to get OpenCL running on my system (Win7 - 64 bit) and it just doesn't want to support my GPUs (xfire gigabyte HD7970), it only sees the CPU (AMD Phenom II x6).

I have tried everything I can think of (full driver removal and re-install included). Is there something I've missed or some sort of hack required?

I'm on the latest drives (13.1).

Any and all that I've tried, clinfo only reports the cpu, gpu caps viewer does not show the gpus as cl devices, and the samples won't run claiming no supported gpu.

I've tried pheonix bitcoin miner, but it only detects the cpu.

I'm using clinfo and the sdk samples to validate as they are AMD supplied, so I trust them more than other applications.

Games run fine, I doubt they use opencl.

Take a look at the Catalyst Install Manager. Do you have the APP SDK runtime installed?

Like this:

Yes all drivers "seem" to be correctly installed, yet the hardware is not showing up as opencl devices.

I have tried uninstall -> driver cleaner->reinstall, and the latest beta drivers to no avail. And have then tried this all again without a anti virus (to see if that was the issue)... still to no avail.

Is there a registry key that I can check / mess with?

Are there driverfiles i can try registering explicitly? (as at this point I'm assuming it copies files to the right location but fails to register them properly on my machine for some reason)

I have used driver cleaner to remove all old drivers (I once had Nvidia gfx)
