Hello,

I downloaded the latest driver package for my cards here from here:

After installing and running DxDiag it says that the date of the driver installed for my cards is July 27 of 2012. Isn't that pretty old? How come it won't install a newer driver? Am I installing the wrong package? I selected the one that says Windows 7 64-bit Catalyst for HD-7800 models. Should I be getting drivers from XFXForce's site or AMD's site anyway?

Is this on a clean install or are you upgrading from an older driver?  If you're upgrading, then there might be something left over from the old driver which is confusing DxDiag.

Yes I formatted yesterday and had the package residing on my data drives so when Windows was done installing I installed the driver.

Yeah it looks like those are old.  13.1 is the current production driver.  There's 13.2 betas around also, if you want to live dangerously.

So how do I install the new ones? Neither the installer nor Windows seem to want to update the one that is currently installed. I tried doing it via the installation package and through the device manager.

You'd have to go to AMDs site and download a new package, then install that.  Probably a good idea to run an uninstaller to clean out the old drivers first though.
