Hi guys

So I just bought myself a nice Radeon 7850. However, I'm using it on my HP w2207 with a DVI cable and a HP 2159v with a VGA to DVI cable (as the 2159v 1080p monitor for some reason doesn't have a DVI connector).

In my 2D desktop environment everything works as expected, however, when launching a 3D application, like Simcity or Need for Speed, the picture on my 2159v is displaying almost as it is running too low a refresh rate. The whole monitor seems to be updating too slow in the horitonzal lines. However, the w2207 monitor on the DVI cable doesn't have the problem.

What can this be caused by, and how can I fix it?

It wasn't an issue with my nVidia 8800 GTX, so it must be due to the 7850 hardware or driver.

Thank you

Tore

Open the monitor's OSD and look at the input information, it will tell you the refresh rates.

It is 1080p @ 60 Hz when in game, so it is not the actual frame rate that causes the issue. :/
