Hello,

I recently got a second display. My main display is connected with a DVI cable and my second display is connected with an HDMI cable. The only monitor showing activity is the active monitor. When I try to create an extended display, I get the error: "Unable to save these settings".

The DVI and HDMI might actually be the same port, electrically.  Without knowing the specific card model, I can only speculate.

Most simple vid cards have DVI/HDMI as single port. Think of it as "Adapter included".

Use one or the other and a differant connector for 2nd monitor.

If its a realy cheap card it may not have 3rd connector, rare. That you may need to get adapter for.

Something tells me you don't have 3rd, or you would have said and/or tried it.
