Hi I just bought a desktop (7870HD)month ago (my friend built if for me) at first every seem fine. A flickering issue occur around 6 days ago and it has been bothering me since. (Flickering occur in a horizontal black line and it keep flashing) I believe that the problem has something to do with 2D issues, because when I'm on a desktop, chrome or microsoft word the flickering appeared constantly (every seconds)but when I'm playing computer game, flickering rarely occur (maybe once or twice in a few hours). I have been searching the internet and tries to use MSI afterburner and Asus GPU tweak but I'm hopeless with those tools. Is there a solution to this problem? or if the solution can be solved with MSI or Asus GPU tweak can you tell me what vaule should I set for 2D and 3D core? (I'm not even sure which (Core or Memory clock) are 2D or 3D.

Thankyou

Try disabling hardware acceleration. In IE that would be tools > internet options > advanced and checkmark 'use software rendering'. Firefox has a similar setting, Chrome I haven't a clue, but it will be somewhere in options/settings.

I once have flickering on my display and it turned out my HDMI cable gone bad. Maybe your cable gone bad too, try using another cable.

Well, it takes all of 2 minutes to find out. Especially if this happens mainly with 2D. It has solved the problem for other people.
