My computer has been playing games fine in its current configuration until a friend and I did a little experiment. I have an ASUS Radeon HD 7750, plays games pretty well. He had in his possesion two ASUS Radeon HD 6850s. We decided to crossfire the cards in my computer system too see how well they would perform. After unistalling the drivers for the HD 7750 we removed it and installed the two HD 6850s.

While using the two cards in crossfire everything went well. After uninstalling and then removing the two HD 6850s I returned my HD 7750 to the computer and installed the drivers. Now while running any 3d program or video game I get random black screens. My computer doesn't freeze completely and the game eventually comes back and I have this 'graphics card has recovered from a serious error' message.

I have reinstalled the drivers numerous times, reinstalled all my games once, then reinstalled my games on a different hard drive.

You might try removing all the AMD software using Driver Sweeper..like this > http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=444&threadid=162444&enterthread=y

Put in old video card I had before I bought the HD 7750 and my games worked again. So I went down to frys electronics and they replaced the HD 7750 for a new one. New HD 7750 installed and games play great now no more crashing.
