I am having an issue in only certain games, so far Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, and Tomb Raider. My performance will randomly drop from around 80 frames down to about 15. It has nothing to do with where i am in the game as i could be standing in the same spot and it would randomly slow. It's not an overheating issue as my card will do it without getting above 45Celcius. HOWEVER. Every time it slows the fans spin up really fast. Its not a graphic setting issue either, as it still does it even with my graphics set to as low as they can possibly go. I updated my drivers, i updated my bios, and i dont know what else to try at this point. Any sugestions would be so greatly appreciated. I want to enjoy my games but its unplayable :/ I did NOT have this problem previously with my 6750 and could run these games on it with the issue. Nothing else in the computer has changed since upgrading from it. Thanks again for any help

Here are my specs
Processor - AMD FX-8120
Graphics Card - XFX Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition
OS - Windows 7 64 Bit
Catalyst Version - 13.4
RAM - 8 Gigs 1333 Ram
Resolution - 1680x1050 through HDMI

You do have a Bulldozer CPU, which is known to have problems. So even though you updated the BIOS, I still suggest you contact the motherboard manufacturer and ask for help.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 810 @ 3250MHz | RAM: Kingmax 2x2GB DDR2 800 @ 833MHz| MoBo: MSI K9A2 CF v1.0 (BIOS: 1.D)| GPU: Asus HD 6850 1024MB (DirectCu) @ 850/1150MHz | Display: L24FHD | PSU: PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad | OS: MS Windows 7 Pro x64

CPU: Pentium 4 Northwood S478 @ 3200MHz | RAM: 1,5GB DDR 400| MoBo: Gigabyte GA-8S661FXMP-RZ | GPU: ASUS Radeon X1650 Pro 256MB | Display: Dimarson 19" CRT | PSU: Noname 400W | OS: changing twice every week...
