Seems to be the graphics card crashing because the computer is still on, and the sounds continue for a short time after as well, but the monitor registers no signal

Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 


AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History
The latest, 13.4 I believe

Operating System
Windows 7 64 bit

Most games it seems, so far I know it crashes in:

Saints Row 3

Neverwinter

Team Fortress 2

The issue with Team fortress 2 didn't used to happen, but did today.

Scanned with Malware bites the other day

Did that graphics card come with your computer? The 7850 requires a 500watt power supply minimum, and Cooler Master is not known for it's reliability. Have you another computer with a larger/better PS that you can test the card in?

Within another 5 mins my display had been replaced with purple and white stripes, but not the same crash as usual even though it was being stressed far more than my games stress it

Not to flog a dead horse here but...

Did that graphics card come with your computer? The 7850 requires a 500watt power supply minimum, and Cooler Master is not known for it's reliability. Have you another computer with a larger/better PS that you can test the card in?

No I do not

I would also like to re-iterate that this problem is a recent one, I've had this graphics card since mid december 2012 and only recently (last month or so) has it been a problem.

The PSU has been the same from that time (I bought both at the same time)

Power supplies do go bad you know, and that type of issue is indicative of a power fault.
