About a week or two ago, I tried to hook up my Toshiba LCD TV to my MSI 7770 using both Windows and AMD Eyefinity, to my current dual Acer monitors. Primary via DVI, Secondary via DVI to HDMI, and TV via HDMI. I fixed the reason it would not support as per this:

http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=444&threadid=161686&enterthread=y

and purchased a DisplayPort active dongle to HDMI adapter and now all 3 screens work, however, the TV remains only as, under Windows, "Generic Non-PnP Monitor", rather than it's former "TOSHIBA TV" or something, and the resolution is stuck at 640x480. although I think it should be 1280x720 max. It is unadjustable, Eyefinity is of no help, and I have been fruitless with other results.

All help appreciated. Many thanks.

Update:
I tried switching the 2nd Acer monitor connected via DVI to HDMI with the TV so now the TV is strictly HDMI and the 2nd monitor is DVI to HDMI to HDMI Active DisplayPort Dongle to DP and the resolution on the monitor is now restricted to 640x480. The advertisment for the dongle claimed to support up to 1080i. I couldn't imagine why they would make one only for 480.
