Hey everyone,

I'm currently running a 3 screen setup. Here is the configuration:

-LG Flatron Slim 1280x1024 via VGA

-LG Flatron Slim 1280x1024 via DVI

-Samsung SyncMaster B2430HD 1920x1080 via Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter

Here is the adapter I am using:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812276009

I would like to add my 42" Dynex to the setup via HDMI or another Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. I have tried both, and neither have worked. The 42" Dynex is detected by my computer in the Screen Resolution manager. However, when I select "Extend desktop to this display" and click Apply, it responds with "Unable to save display settings." I believe this may have to do with either my adapter not having active circuitry or the fact that the card itself (ATI Radeon HD 7950 Flex) doesn't support this particular configuration. I haven't been able to find a straight answer online.

Any help would be appreciated. Ideally, I would want to extend my desktop onto the 42" Dynex whenever it is turned on and maintain a three display configuration otherwise. I had no trouble doing this using just the two LG screens + the Dynex.

Let me clarify: I do not want to use Eyefinity.
