I bought a new pc yesterday and im tying to make sure everything i purchased is what i orderd. I orderd a AMD radeon 7970, but im having trouble verfying it. All i see in the calalyst control centre, advanced display properties and speccy is HD 7000 series. Ill will copy and paste my speccy stats and catalyst.

I forgot to mention also how do i safely overclock this card and how should overclocking be used, im completely clueless so i disabled the overclock feature in the catalyst software (amd overdrive).

1002-6798 is the device ID for a 7970 card.  You should get GPU-Z for all of the details of your card.

Use Catalyst Control Center to overclock (basically what you seem to have turned off).  Use something like HWInfo to monitor your temperatures.
