Hi guys,

I've just buy a new computer and i'm trying to found drivers for my Radeon. Its a ATI radeon HD 8570. I have windows 8. When i try to use the windows online surfing to check for updates, it says that my drivers are up to date. The problem is that when I play The witcher 2 i'm getting really bad FPS.I've tried to use the autodetect program that is downloadable from the official website of AMD and it says that it cant detect my OS and graphic hardware. I dont know how to get the last drivers. I'm pretty much sure that i can do much more with this graphic card.

Heres the spec of my computer : http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/hewlett-packard-hp-envy-700-desktop-computer-intel-core-i7-3770-2tb-hdd-12gb-ram-windows-8-700-049/10258651.aspx?path=a6fdcd97a0cdbc9bf123d5c6f2271aceen02&SearchPageIndex=1

Tell me if i can do something to help you help me

The 8570 is an OEM-only card, so it's only available as part of a pre-made computer (in your case, HP). Because of this, the only drivers for this card will come from HP, since the 8570 can vary between HP's version and Dell's version (as an example). For any drivers, you'll have to get in touch with them, since we have no 8570 drivers in our Catalyst software (hence the lack of success with auto-detect).

Well HP does load a bunch of there crap software on your box. If you have Window 8 disk a option is to a refresh which give you a clean copy of the O/S minus all your current installed software. You could then install a clean copy of HP drivers for your 8570. Then from the list that Windows supplies I would re-install all other software minus HP preloaded junk. There are settings for the CCC that you can set based on recommended settings.

You are well above the required hardware to run Witcher 2.

Disagree, the HD 8570 is a slightly faster version of the HD 7570. The Wither 2 recommends an HD 4850, which is about 70-80% faster than a HD 8570, and I can attest to the fact that it takes more along the lines of an HD 7870 to up the visuals. The HD 8570 just doesn't have the power for that well programmed but visually demanding game.

black_zion I want to understand how you came to 70-80% faster. The measure that I normally use is Passmark where 4850 is 1043 and 7570 is 978. With a 8570 being a rated a little bit faster. So I need to know how you rate it.
