My graphic card is Radeon HD 7950. The sound was working before until I used HD (out from graphic card)-to-DVI (in the monitor), the sound stopped working right here.

When I swiched back, it doesn't work anymore. When I use HD (graphic card)-to-HD (in my TV), the sound come out every two seconds.

The computer seems to still pick up the sound as the volume bar is still moving up and down. I have tried all the ways I can but none has worked e.g: reinstall windows 8, try to output the sound from the audio jack in the monitor.

Anyone has seen any similar problem? Please let me know if you need any other information to analyze this. I greatly appreciate your help.

If by "HD" you mean HDMI, then try another cable.

changing the cable doesn't work. i think the problem is that the graphic card's sound and motherboard's sound conflict. I just don't know how to fix it.

Could try right clicking the speaker icon in the system tray; then Playback Devices and disable the ones you don't want to use.

If you're always going to use the HDMI sound, you can disable the motherboard audio entirely in the BIOS setup.
