I recently acquired an ASUS M11BB-B05 which is loaded with AMD parts, including an ASUS branded ATI Radeon HD 8350 OEM graphics card.  Unfortunately ASUS is maintaining there are no graphics card drivers for windows 7 that will support this card either from them or AMD, which is quite surprising.  Are there Windows 7 drivers somewhere around for the new series of these OEM cards?  ASUS has none and maintains they do not exist.

Those 8000 OEM are supposed to supported by the vendor who created them but here are some card notes about 8350 being a rebranded HD 5450/6350/7350. So you might try older drivers like 32 bit 12.10, 13.1 13.4 or 64 bit versions. Don't what version of Windows 7 you have. No guarantee that it will work, but it is worth a try.

But ASUS should support it.

I'll try the older drivers and see what happens.  I'm using Win7 Pro 64-bit on this machine.

On a side note, why the hell would anyone rebrand old cards as a new series?  Makes no sense.

Yes but OEM machines are different with a lot of custom code. My HP came with Windows 7 which I updated to Win 8 Pro. The system was doing some wierd things, so I did a Win 8 refresh which gave me a clean O/S minus all the previous programs. From the list I just installed the stuff I put on, and not all that OEM stuff HP had.

System was much more responsive and no wierdness.

I think those vendors wanted to clear there shelfs updated the cards a little and waved there magic wand, poof a 8000 series card.
