Besides flickering when I just simply browsering internet...I got problem when playing LOL, the screen freezes for 1-3 sometimes. (Do you have this problem?)

I sent email to Gigabyte, but they said no problem found....it is totally disappointed to me!!!!

Not playing LOL but i do play other games and didnt have issues with freezes, just flickering wich is rly annoying ... Dunno what to do atm waiting almost a month for fix in the end i'll have no other choice but to get video card back to store and get nvidia graphic card

Yes you are right. Almost 1 month pass and there is no fix for our card. I think that is last chance for AMD to make fix quick, if no I will change mine card too.

But who knows maybe 30e+ for GTX760 is better solution

Gigabyte R9 270x OC BIOS (F2) fix:

Step1) Download the Gigabyte VGA@BIOS tool first: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/utility.aspx?cg=3

Step2) Get the GV-R927XOC-2GD BIOS (F2) here (shared by me):

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Byw67CyZYE4QOEN2UzVFaGx4bkk/edit?usp=sharing&pli=1

Add me too to this pile of *****. I am using the r9 270x Asus DirectCu II TOP.

Flickering like OP describes. Also random times my gpu can't give more than 15 FPS to games. If I restart pc goes back to normal.

Although my card is R7 260X, there is something wrong with the beta drivers.

After the "xxxxx has stop responding and the drivers recovered" stuff, if you run 3D extensive games, all of the games lag until you restart the system.

I am so "glad" that I hear from other people the same issues because when I opened a ticket with amd they gave me the classic stupid troubleshooting steps instead of ackknowledging the problem. They told me to reinstall windows and try beta 9.2 drivers instead of 9.4... Don't AMD employees read these forums? It's just community forums here?

Apparently, this is user to user forum. You need to report through the AMD ISSUE REPORTING FORM.

Interesting, I got an email from AMD Ray M. whereby he is requesting my sapphire r7 260x BIOS. He is saying the drivers team are actively investigating the 'twitching' or 'jerking' when in 2D mode. (That the terms in the email). A fast flicker would be more accurate though.

In the report, I linked few of this thread.

I would recommend you guys to report it through the ISSUE REPORTING FORM as well. Remember to provide the DIRECT LINKS to the BIOS as well. Original retail and BETA VBIOS at the report.

Reported the issue to both AMD and Asus. The Vbios is released by the gpu manufacturer or AMD itself?

Correct me if I am wrong.

Normally, AMD will release a standardized aka reference vbios for its partners to tinkers around. (such as custom fan control, gpu/memory overclock, voltage)

Few users here actually get their hand of "beta" vbios from the partners. So far, from what I read, Sapphire and Gigabyte provided a modified vbios, just a simple voltage bump for the GPU 2D state.

Perhaps your particular model already has its voltage increased in the first place.

highly doubt that since there was only a few of these left on Black Friday when I got there... and these were not part of any sale (paid full freight of $229 CDN)...

BTW which voltage are you talking about?

Here is a screenie with Haven running in the back ground on Extreme preset:

And in there is my BIOS version too

The flicker we currently discuss only occurs in 2D mode aka low power mode.

Of course, there is no issue during intensive 3D gaming.

What is your gpu lowest VDDC during idle?

BigBoss91....  what is your BIOS version? Mine is 015.038.000.003.000000 (from GPU-Z) and 6810HB.15.38.0.3.AS03 (from LiveUpdate in the GPU Tweak)

This is why I am wondering if this is NOT a card or driver related problem.
