I recently upgraded my computer from a GTX 570 to an AMD 280x. I also reformatted and upgraded to Windows 8.1.

I am noticing a checkerboard pattern of artifacting or flickering textures in BF4 and Arkham City Sometimes the textures get really wacky in BF4 stretching all over the place if the camera is in a certain position.

These issues don't happen all the time. Temperatures are always low and monitored with MSI Afterburner. I don't have any issues when I do stress tests with Furmark or OCCT. I have tried running different drivers, and I am currently using 13.11 Beta9.2.

Here are two videos of it happening in Arkham City that I recorded:

Am I going to have to have to RMA my card?

SPECS:

  • Windows 8.1

  • i5 2500k

  • Asus 280x DCUII Top

  • Corsair HX850 PSU

  • 2x4GB 1600MHz RAM

RMA it, it's broken.

Had the same Issue with two Asus 7970 Matrix Platinum i purchased after another.

It is broken VRAM , here is an site where you can see where the problem is http://www.playtool.com/pages/artifacts/artifacts.html

The post i made when i faced this issue, it's german but i have linked a few pictures/videos with the same issue.

Before i had a Asus HD6950 DCII without issues.

Now i have a R9 290 and it's totally fine.

So it's not a driver issue.
