Question:

Is this card compatible with my Dell Studio 540? And... If I want to plug two monitors can I plug one to the card and the other one to the other monitor  (card to monitor and monitor to monitor)?

Your specs are lacking but that card requires a 450W minimum power supply. So i would say no, unless you upgrade your PSU.
