Ok.. so preordering a card actually means

> having no Bundle offer

> paying more for it than it will cost on release

> having immature drivers that cause bsods

why punish your fans and their excitment about your product?

Why do Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo ship out consoles which require a day 1 software update, sometimes GBs in size, to function properly?

complaining about immature drivers when a card is first released is pointless. this should ALWAYS be expected even from Nvidia as well. Does it suck that they are in beta yes but I go in buying my R9 290x video cards knowing that they are still working out the kinks.

Such a crap youre talking, these 290x arent working at all out of the box.

Many many people are complaining about it bundled with bf4 and not even working randomly crashes and also other games arent working as they should.

That the drivers arent 100% done is ok by me but bsods and crashes are out of line, this hurts their reputation.

Ive experienced the black screen issue my self. But once ive ventured into maybe changing a few things like target thermal temps and max fan speeds the problem was solved for me. i lowered the max temps the card can hit to 85C and im letting the fans go full 100% ( but they still wont hit that high ) and problem solved for me with not core clock drops after the temps are maintained.

Do u think the hardware is shotty? yes probably.

Do i think theres the possibility of them making it better? yes

But being someone who has bought the latest amd card now from the 4870 - R9 290x on launch dates iv always understood one thing. Im a beta tester more or less and ive been fine with that.
