I did a clean windows install, installed all the necessary drivers , and then downloaded the 13.11 b9.2 driver directly from the AMD site. Installed the drive, after reboot BSOD all over again. Now I’m running my pc with the standard VGA driver. Tried the driver that came with the card (13.11 b6), and all the other 13.11 b drivers, but they all give me a bsod.It happens not only in games but also in windowsAnyone got the same problem ass me or has a solution? Hardware:Intel i7 980XAsus P6T7WS SupercomputerG.Skill DDR3-2000mhz 12GB (6x2)HIS radeon R9 290X BF4 edition crossfireantec 1200watt power supplywindows 8 pro->all running the latest drivers / updates

This 290 is just a very bad card everyone is having trouble with it.
AMD needs to get this fixed or else all people are going to rma these cards.

Most of us had stable working systems that were just fine until we put the R9 290 cards in....then everything went to hell.

I don't think the rest of the system is the problem...it's these cards.

It's the card.  I had a 100% stable system before installing my XFX R9 290.  Ever since it's install, I have had constant BSOD/Rolling Random Restarts.

I tried everything, testing every component I had, and even put my CPU under a stress test.  They all checked out perfect condition.

I even went as far as fresh installing windows 7 and MULTIPLE driver installs.  Granted, spent many hours trying to troubleshoot my problem.

Last resort, I pulled out my r9 290 and installed my old HD 6950 to see if it would return the system to normal.

All better, even with the 9.5 Beta driver!

I just RMA'd my r9 290 to newegg to see if a replacement will fix my problem.  If it does not, I am going to demand a refund.

(Note:  I was also experiencing below average fps for EVERYTHING with the card.  Bf4, Heaven 4.0, Assassins Creed 4, etc.)

(Final Comment:  My Ableton 9 was also acting up with the card in my system, random....)
