I recently got two r9 270x to replace the old 4850's I had. the problem is that only one is being rrecognized by windows 7. I if I tried them in all combinations of pcie slots and still only one shows up. if I re-install the old cards both show up. If i put one of the R9 270x cards in with the old ones it shows up and the old ones are disabled. I wiped the drivers clean and tried to reinstall nothing only one shows up. Any help I can get will be greatly appreciated.

All system specs should be mentioned to make others avoid guessing. Did you power them both with pci-e power cables, did u place the crossfire bridge?

Fresh windows 7 64

4 gb ram

phenom 995

1000 watt psu

both cards are powered by pci-e cables, all three sets from the psu in different combanation and they all are working. I did attache the crossfire bridge but it doesn't make it recognize the card. I have swapped the cards out and windows see them apart from each other but only one at a time.
