hi, this is my first post here, so if it is in the wrong section i'm sorry.

my specs:

Ati Radeon HD 5670 1Gb

win 7 32-bit

Gigabyte M68MT-S2P

AMD Phenom II x955 Black Ed.

Issue:

i was updating the drivers, i had 13.1 and was updating to 13.9, during the installation the screen turned black for almost half an hour, until my brother who didn't know it was updating and thought the computer had frozen, rebooted it.

So now when i turn on the pc, right after the windows logo appears a blue screen appears and says there is an error involving the file "atikmdag.sys"

i don't know what to do, please help me

---FIXED

I had to press and hold F8 while the system is starting, before the windows logo appears.

Then in the menu that appears I selected "start using last known good configuration" * (not "safe mode") and then i executed the 13.9 setup and installed it normally

*not sure if this is what it says (i have it in spanish), but something like this

Hope this helps someone else

First thing I would try is to go into device manager > graphics and roll back to the drivers you had before. If that won't do it you can do a system restore.

i thought about unplugging the card and then turn on the pc and see if the blue screen doesn't appear and see what i can do then, but i don't know if it's safe
