Hi all,

my computer at my work desk is set up with two monitor extended display. the card installed in the computer is a ATI Radeon HD 5450. However, it has a rather odd input that I cant find any info about. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on it.

Sidenote: The card is very loud even at idle. I've read this particular card can have a faulty fan. The reason im asking about the input is so I can get a simalar replacement ment without having to get all  new cables and a new adapter.

Below are pics of the splitter going into the card, and the port on the card itself.

VHDCI connector Basically it allows 4 Digital monitors to be connected at once.

Example

If you are useing 2 / 3 monitors though, its cheaper and more economical to simply purchase a modern card since they come with adapters in the box already. And are more then capable of driving two monitors.

As far as new cables shouldn't need any. Should be as simple as hooking DVI cables up to the back of the card.

The most economical card would be the HD 5450 like you already have with regular consumer outputs and get an HDMI to DVI cable for your second monitor (or adapter, both are cheap). Talking $20 for the card and $8.50 for the cable.
