Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with my brand new rig: occasionally, during video playbacks (searching, playing/stopping, switching between windowed/full screen modes) I get a 0xa0000001 stop error blaming the atikmdag.sys file.

The error seems to occur randomly, the only consistency in the scenario is that it's always during video playback (youtube, mpc-hc, vlc, wmp, all of it), usually when starting the playback.

Has any of you seen such thing? What could be wrong?

As I've mentioned, it's a brand new config, with a fresh install of Win7, memtest gives no errors and everything else (including games) seem to work fine.

Thanks for the input.

My config:

MB: ASUS Maximus VI Formula

CPU: Intel i7-4771

RAM: Kingston HyperX XMP DDR3 1600MHz CL9 4x8G

GPU: Sapphire R9 290X

PSU: Seasonic X-1050

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 1TB

OS: Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate x64
