Is there a fix for black screen crashes on the R9 290/290X cards. I have had this issue since i first purchased, doesn't effect all games but mostly powerful games such as Battlefield games and Dayz. No Driver updates have fixed it yet so i don't know if i should refund ://

I have the exact same problem with my R9 290, would really love to know if AMD have fixed it, if if they are fixing it

They're not even making an official statement about this. I guess we have no other choice than rma'ing the card but a lot of people have done it and still xperience this problem so we have no other choice than spamming AMD's support about this issue.

I'd feel much better if they just aknowledged that there is an issue, and told us they were doing something about it. It's so frustrating not knowing what to do. This is my first experience with an AMD GPU, and it will definatley be my last. Nvidia is more expensive, but at least their cards work.

I'm having the same issues.  They best find a solution soon or this thing is getting returned and I'll switch back to Nvidia.

I hope the same. I've even send a ticket to their support 2-3 days ago.

They do nothing but ignore me and probably all of us lol...

FYI,

I purchased powercolor r9 290x few days ago and had black screen problem, i returned them and bought asus r9 290x couple days ago(reference design as well), i havent got any black screen ever since...

Asus' 290x is almost $100 more than powercolor's, but i'm satisfied. Price does make difference in this case...
I'm glad i didn't switch to Nvidia 780TI, almost did thou...

i think it's powercolor fault, not AMD, some oem are cutting corners.
