I was updating a USB driver using IOBit DriverBooster when my screen unexpected flashed and fickered and the resolution susbesquently diminshed to something like720 by 480.  Since then I have tried express uninstalling and then reinstalling AMD Catalyst Contrl Center and all AMD software a couple of times, but I am unable to increase the desktop resoluion above 720 by 480 (the slider just won't move across when I try to increase resolution to a higher value) The only way I can get a more usable resolution is after all the AMD software is removed, at which point I have 1400 by 1050.  Windows Device Manager tells me I already have the best driver when I try an online update from here.  This is in a Vista x64 system using a Samsung 1920 by 1020 LCD monitor with DVI to HDMI cable from an HD 4670 card.  I am using a multiple boot system.  There are no issues with the other operating systems on this computer at this time  Unfortunately, this Vista OS is reporting no restore points that I might try. Any help in fixing this issue would be much appreciated.

I subsequently found that I could open Catalyst Control Center and go into desktop settings and select HD 1080p.
