Graphics Card
MSI Radeon HD7770

AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History
Driver Version: 13.251.0.0 (Says Currently up todate)

Operating System
Windows 7 64bit, Service Pack 1

Issue Details
I have been getting a BSOD Error while gaming on certin games (Starcraft 2, Diablo 3.) I am able to play like League of Legends but for some reason not these 2. The Error it shows is the 0x00000116 (Attemp to rest the display driver and revoer from timeout failed). I can play on the computer for hours but it seems when I game it only happens. I bought this computer from a trusted guy on Craigslist who said all the parts were new and roughly around 3-4 months old (Still had the GFX Card box ect.)

Motherboard or System Make & Model
MSI 970A-g43

Power Supply

I am not sure on the brand I know its a 500W

Display Device(s) and Connection(s) Used
Acer 23" LED Model # S230HL connected via HDMI Cable

Applications and Games

Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3

CPU Details
AMD FX 6300 (Six Core Processor) 4.1 GHZ

Motherboard BIOS Version
I seem to not beable to find this

System Memory Type & Amount
Patriot "Viper" 8GB Ram

Additional Hardware
None

Additional Details

I have run HWMonitor to see if it was getting to hot and shutting down, my temps for my CPU were around 23-29C while playing Diablo3/SC2 and my GFX Card would hit around 56C. I also did the Memory Test? Via the Bios when it first came up after a BSOD and said I had no memory failures? I also did some other tests with rolling back to previous Driver and that didn't work. This about is as far as I have got. Thanks hope you can help, I am not very computer savey.

So there's no way to fix it for good?

If it stops your error...then that is the fix. This is a Microsoft issue...not AMD. Read > http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/gg487368.aspx

Okay... but regardless of whose issue it is, the only way to "fix" it is to put a band-aid on it? I edited the registry and STILL got a BSOD. I mean, it's just Windows plus AMD drivers, nothing out of the ordinary, I don't understand how this is such a problem

could my motherboard perhaps be the issue? or should I just get a whole new gpu. I need this problem to stop

Thanks.
