Hello.

I'm having very low FPS on such games like Counter Strike: Source and Global Offensive.

It's playable, but it's not that how it should look like.

On 1024 x 768 in Global offensive it can get above 50 FPS, on very low settings.

Same happens to Counter Strike Source.

On previous 256 mb graphics card I had no problems at all with Counter Strike Source, and other games, except Global Offensive.

Specs:

Graphics Card:

Sapphire Raden HD7770, 1gb, GDDR5, 1000/1125mhz

AMD Catalyst Driver Version

13.12

Issue details

Low FPS in every game, card acts like it's working on it's 20% performance. Especially while looking at far distances, like 20 meters. Screenshot from CSS: Click

Operating System

Tested on Windows 8 64bit and Windows XP 32bit.

Motherboard:

MSI K9N2GM-FIH

Power Supply:

Feel II-350ATX (350W)

Display:

LG Flatron L226W via DVI cable.

Applications and games

Affects every game.

CPU Details

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5600+

Motherboard BIOS Version

3.8 ( newest)

System Memory Type & Amount

2 x 1 GB + 2 Gb Goodram DDR2

Additional Details

I'm using newest drivers for everything on my PC.

By use of this processor and same power supply with different motherboard and graphics card, I managed to run such games like Crysis, Dead Space on ultra settings with high resolution without any problems. So the CPU/power supply might not be the problem.

Eveything runs on low temperature.

Game/Catalyst settings set to high performance.

Windows and games are installed on Sata 7200 RPM drives.

jackoid i think one of the problems in your system is the power supply.

I ve the same card and i read that card needs this see :

a minimum 450 Watts system power supply with 12 V rating of 40 A with an extra 2x3 pin express power connection.

In terms of games check system requirements better but i think the processor and is nice yet but Ram buy at least 1 GB minimum for windows 8 X64.
