I have read alot about it but I don't seem to see anyone with the R9 290Xs Booting to black screen so I started a new thread. I picked up some R9 290Xs and I was running windows 8.1 and did a microsoft update and lost all video after reboot. It would start to load but where it was supposed to pop up with the app screen it just went black... So I figured it was windows 8 being a pain so I installed windows 7 loaded it up with Catalyst got my eyefinity setup proceeded to do the 100+ updates and BOOM black screens after reboot! So I reinstalled 7 again and this time did all the updates first and that went ok then I installed Catylist and BOOM! black screens... But I can got into safe mode and get some video but as soon as I boot up normaly and use the drivers you guessed it... BOOM black screen.... I have been fighting this for 2 weeks now and I am really fed up with it please help before I throw these up on eBay and buy some Nvidias!
