DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason"failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG("the application's failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application. This is an designed-time issue that should be investigated and fixed"). GPU: "Radeon 7950", Driver: 13.12

I've tried everything to fix this. There isn't much usable information on the web. I've heard many different things, including PSU issues, heat issues, ect.

System specs:

Intel 3570k

Corsair 8gb ram

AMD7950

cx600 watt psu

windows 7

ssd & hdd.

If you need anymore information please let me know.

I would uninstall the drivers using 'uninstall a program' in your control panel. Find AMD installer and 'Express' uninstall all AMD software including the installer. Reboot in to safe mode and run this version (3.2.0) of Driver Sweeper, selecting AMD graphics..analyse and delete all it finds (it's slow be patient). Reboot. Install these drivers. Reboot.

I did all that twice, uninstalled every amd/ati registry i could find, express uninstall, then reinstalled. I have used driver sweeper, for some reason I've heard a few negative reviews based on it, so I ahve been reluctant to try that. I guess ill give it a try and see what happens. thank you

Use the version I linked you to...don't upgrade it to 'newer' version when it asks....and follow the steps above.

I did all those steps. Im on 14.2 beta. Honestly everything runs a lot smoother, I'm not sure if that's a result from cleaned out drivers or mantle and 14.2 drivers.

But in my first game in bf4 i crashed, then rejoined, played for 2 minutes then the same Error message came up again. This seemed way quicker than usual.

Any ideas?
