hi. i am ready to pay for the new AMD R9 295x2, but the big problem is that so many people have had terrible issues with multi-GPU cards.

if AMD released a single GPU card that would enable us to play at the 4K resolution, would'nt that be awesome ?

i am ready to pay for it.

I have used an AMD Radeon HD 7990 (last year's dual GPU card) on a 4K monitor running at the native resolution.  My games are playable if you don't turn the detail levels up too high and disable anti-aliasing (not needed anyway).  Since that new dual GPU card is a lot faster than the one I have now, you should have no problems with it driving a 4K monitor.

I have also used a 4K monitor with two Radeon 7990s (4 GPUs) running in CrossFireX.  They workled perfectly with Catalyst 14.4 drivers.  You should have no issues running multiple AMD video cards in CrossFireX in 4k resolution (3840 x 2160).

Now...If only AMD would fix the issue I have of CrossFireX not working for my dual 7990s in the 3440 x 1440, 21:9 aspect ratio resolution.

Recent cards with DisplayPort can do 4K but HDMI is still behind the curve.

Given Wolfenstein needs over 4 TFLOPS at 1920x1080, I am avoiding 4K for now.
