For recording purposes, I require the usage of two monitors. One for my monitor and one for my tv. I am using the HDMI output as my output to the TV. I need to split the audio/video, and so am using a converter from HDMI to 5-RCA. When making use of this cable, a second monitor is not detected by the graphics card, so I am unable to make use of it.
If I use an HDMI cable straight into my TV, there are no issues. It detects the TV, and I am able to clone the display properly.
What I am would like to do, is force the display out of HDMI, using the same settings that it detects for the HDMI cable. Simply put, I would like to always force cloned output out of the HDMI port.
Another option, is taking the HDMI cable and splitting it, but by doing that, it will most likely not detect either monitor, since the splitter will break the ability to detect either monitor.
Any ideas on how I might convert the HDMI output into RCA succesfully?
