I am currently using a mid 2011 21.5" iMac on windows 8 64bit bootcamp. On the Mac side it says I have a Radeon HD 5670, and it will also tell me I have it once I install the support drivers on the Windows bootcamp.  But once I try to update my drivers with current onces it seems to change the way my computer reads what the card is.  The system, dxdiag, and CCC tell me the card is now a Mobility Radeon HD 5000.

Is it installing the proper drivers, just giving false readings, or am I not getting the correct drivers.

Tried:

and

OS

Windows 8 64bit (Bootcamp)

Model

iMac11,2

CPU

Memory

I beleive the iMac all-in-one computer uses Mobility (laptop) drivers. You have a 5000 series card.

Well I've noticed that some of the 2011 macs list that they use a mobility 6670m, then why list the others as desktop cards?

Also noticed that dxdiag says I have 6g+ of video ram...

Bah, doesn't really matter in the end as long as the preformace isn't affected.
