Hi everyone

I'm using a Radeon HD 6670 graphics card on my Win 7 machine with a Llyama Prolite E2773HDS monitor.

For some reason I'm unable to get a sharp image compared to my old HP monitor - it looks like I'm in safe mode - and wondered what I can do to improve it.

My drivers are all up to date, and someone mentioned that I should re-configure the AMD display settings and change the scaling setting.

Would this do any good, and how do I do it if so?

Thanks in advance.

depends on what you want to do, card is fine for video and old games

modern games are too demading for a card like that

I'm not looking for video or games - I just want text etc that is clear, well defined and doesn't look smudged.

with windows vista and up cleartype is used by default which makes text as good as it gets with lcd panels

make sure your resultion is configured for the panel's native resolution for best quality

Thanks for that; I have also found the Catalyst Control Centre, via which I have adjusted the screen image and in conjunction with cleartype, I now have a much better screen.
