I recently updated my HD7700's drivers. Afterwards, sometimes the windows of applications will not move when i try to drag them.

Also, when I click on my Skype icon on the tool bar to bring up the little box with active chats, it won't open.

Do you really expect any help without providing even the basics of your system?

There is a sticky outlining what information we would need to help you.

What driver version are you trying to install?

Have you uninstalled the old drivers before installing the new ones?

Have you installed all required windows updates?

Yes, you should always uninstall the old drivers through "Programs And Features" in control panel.

Do not do the express uninstal, chose custom. I think some people have issues with express removing USB drivers and chipset drivers. So be careful to only remove the display driver, and CCC.

When you go to install the new drivers, choose custom again, and just install the driver and CCC.

That's the basic method of doing driver updates.

I'll let someone else get into more complicated methods of doing this, if my advice doesn't help.

We've found a number of links with similar problems relating to the 14.4 drivers, and our company has performed significant research upon this issue.

We would suggest checking more on the following link:

http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=440&threadid=175979

...and continuing the discussion there.  It is also our qualified belief that the problem you are having is related specifically to your having recently updated to the 14.4 drivers that were not as of yet fully developed unbeknownst to AMD because of continued division and variation between AMD CPU/APU motherboard and Intel CPU motherboard platforms.

It's also important that everyone's issues become resolved and receive proactive support and attention from AMD's driver development team in addition to all of us here on the forum sharing our knowledge and experiences with AMD in order to assist one of our favorite video hardware manufacturers in arriving at a version of the drivers that may be used on the various platforms without inadvertently causing malfunctions of the various systems of those having similar problems to yourself after installing the 14.4 drivers.

In short, it is more likely these matters will receive appropriate attention if they're all in one forum thread.  Please start here at our link here on AMD Forums...

(Same one as listed above for consistency)

Now my monitors are turning off. Sometimes the computer shuts down, but when I press the power button the screen I left at comes back up (like sleep mode).

I followed StepLadderInc's recommendation to turn my fan speed up to 100%.

Any more advice? Should I turn the fanspeed back down? I'm not sure how to 'turn back' my PC, should I do that? If I retun pc to a previous state, would it go back to not having the updated drivers?
