I am using an HIS 6770 1gb + IGP 4250 (880GM-P51 msi mb only has 1 GPU slot).

I want a 2gb (or more) graphics card that I can use with my 4250.

I bought an R9 270, but drivers aren't compatible (too new to work with 4250).

Does anyone know of an older 2gb+ card that will work with my 4250 (but is at least as good or better than my current 6770)?

Thanks

Disable the IGP and use just a good dedicated GPU.

As I said, I did buy an R9 270 (not the greatest, but better than the 6770).

I couldn't get the R9 to drive all 3 of my monitors (connections for 2 are vga only, other monitor has both dvi-d and vga).  The R9 has dvi-i, dvi-d, hdmi, & dp outputs.  I tried various adapters but could never even get 2 to work together, let alone 3.

I mostly play dx9 games across the 3 screens and just wanted a card with more memory.  I thought I could just replace the 6770 with the R9, but as I said, I couldn't get it to drive all my monitors. I only bought the card because it was $110 (new) on ebay.  I'm not willing to spend more money on new monitors just to have a similar gaming setup as I had before, it's not worth it to me.

So I am trying to find an older 2gb card which is from the same generation as my 6770 to use with my 4250 (I assume I COULD just swap out my 6770 for one of these).

Thanks for replying though.

The HD 4000 and previous generation cards use a different driver set. The R9 270 can drive 3 monitors as long as one of them is using DisplayPort, or an active DisplayPort adapter.
