hi guys,

i just finished setting up a new system. while playing videos the video is playing low res (i can see the pixels and it also plays with 'jerks'. not playing smoothly. the drivers are properly installed. Althoug i tried playing BF4 and it plays quite smoothly. please help

here's the config

i7 4770
ASUS z87-A
Sapphire R9 280x
G.Skills ripjaws X 16GB
seagate baracuda 2TB
samsung 840 evo 120 GB

Which player are you using to play videos? Could be a codec issue, try using MPC-HC. If the issue occurs in a browser, disable hardware acceleration in browser settings.

i have tried different video players. even the default video that comes with windows 7 (sample video) plays low-res.
the videos are so low res that i can see patches in the colors.

you can download media player classis, I use it and its 10x better at playing videos with very smooth playback
