Whenever a thread I posted in gets moved, I get an email notification. I wonder why. I'm not even subscribed to those threads.

I don't see a way to opt out of these emails on the settings page. Is there a way to stop the spam or should I just make a spam filter to handle it?

It is an option check box that a moderator can check when moving a thread.  Most of the mods will check it when there are replies to a thread just incase any of the responders wishes to go back to that thread.  It is easier to deal with doing so than to deal with an individual(s) that is(are) trying to find a thread that they know was in a specific category and now is not.

The option check box does not care if you are subscribed to the thread or not.

The best solution for you or anyone would be to create a spam filter if you don't want to deal with the emails.

Or go to Bing or Google or Yahoo and create a junk email account just for forums and such, that's what I did.

You, black_zion and stumped probably get the majority of them as I move the threads around to the proper locations.
