Just updated from 12.6 to 12.8 a few days ago. Suddenly my Firefox started having problems I've never had before. It normally uses about 400k memory, and 1-2% CPU max. Now, after it's been running a variable length of time, the CPU usage jumps to around 15% and the memory usage starts to climb - slowly at first and then faster and faster. When this happens, Firefox freezes. Eventually I either kill the process in the Task Manager, or Firefox dies on its own. FF 15.01, Windows 7 x64 with all updates, i7 950 processor, 5850 graphics card, 12GB memory.
Didn't see issues with anything else - only FF. Happened no matter what I tried, so I rolled the driver back to 12.6 and it's running fine again. Something is screwy with that 12.8 driver. Don't know what, but I'll wait and try 12.9.
